To help our clients receive maximum benefits, Iconic Energy EV stays up to date on the ever-changing landscape of federal, state, and local EV charging station incentives. As of the date of this writing there is one upcoming incentive from the Illinois EPA for public and private organizations and companies. Also, there is potential for the 30% alternative fuels federal tax credit to be reinstated for businesses and homes.

Beginning July 1, 2022, and continuing as long as funds are available, the Illinois EPA will award rebates or grants that cover up to 80% of the cost of installing Level 2 or Level 3 charging stations installed at public and private organizations and companies. They will begin taking applications on a rolling basis and will award rebates or grants within 60 days of the date of application. Congress has yet to pass the 30% alternative fuels federal tax credit for 2022 and beyond. This tax credit typically applies to both businesses and homes and can cover large portions of your installation cost.
